Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Executive Chef, the Cook will prepare, season and cook food for hospital patients, employees and visitors.

Minimum Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent (GED), or in the process thereof, required within six (6) months of hire date or transfer.

One (1) year of demonstrated food preparation experience in a health care setting required, or in lieu of health care experience, three (3) to five (5) years of general food preparation experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Formal culinary training is preferred.

Influenza vaccination is required at most LVHN facilities for all colleagues with patient contact unless medically contraindicated or due to a bona fide religious belief or practice, and is strongly encouraged for all colleagues. Applicants possessing a medical marijuana card will not be considered for safety sensitive positions.
