Dietary Aides perform a variety of assigned duties related to the preparation and service of meals, including washing dishes and cleaning work and dining areas.

Positions offer shift differential (for 3-11 and 11-7 shifts), 8-hour shifts, full- & part-time benefit package, hourly weekday and weekend bonuses!!

Job Description
Performs a variety of assigned duties related to the preparation and service of meals; washing dishes; cleaning work areas and dining areas.  Responsible for maintaining high standard of cleanliness.SUPERVISION RECEIVED
This position reports directly to the Assistant Director of Dining Services, Executive Chef and/or Chef Manager.

This position is not responsible for the supervision of other employees or functions.

Serve patients meals on centralized food line.

All tasks related to washing dishes, silverware, etc.

Serve food in dining room.

Assist in cleaning work areas and equipment.

Use toaster, juice machine, coffee makers, and any other related equipment.

Assisting cooks with duties as necessary, such as washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables, making sandwiches, buttering bread, etc.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE – Completion of a high school, or general equivalency, diploma.

NOTE: Upon hire employee must have a drug screening and COVID-19 testing.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to remain standing for extended periods of time

Must be able to work in a warm, moist atmosphere and work in close contact with other people.

Willingness to do routine work according to specific instructions.

Brooms, mops, knives, vegetable peelers, can opener, toaster, juice machine, and coffee makers.  Hair nets and rubber gloves must be worn when handling food.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls.  The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.  The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic chemicals.  The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately noisy.
