Job Summary: Performs a variety of patient services such as: phlebotomy, EKGS, pulse oximetry, point-of-care, and DNA testing on routine and STAT basis as required. Perform a wide variety of patient registration, clerical, and specimen processing duties including: accessioning orders, registration of patients and courier work, medical necessity checking, scanning of documentation, ICD code validation, processing of clinical specimens, preparing and departing lab specimens. Serve as a liaison between PMC departments and its customers in response to inquiries and problems.

Minimum Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent (GED) is required.

Must successfully complete HIS patient registration training and demonstrate proficiency at the end of 90 days.

Proficient computer skills required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications: One (1) to two (2) years continuous, recent experience within a registration office or laboratory preferred. Previous demonstrated experience with third-party payors is preferred. Demonstrated experience within medical third-party field is preferred. Course or previous background in medical terminology is preferred.

Influenza vaccination is required at most LVHN facilities for all colleagues with patient contact unless medically contraindicated or due to a bona fide religious belief or practice, and is strongly encouraged for all colleagues. Applicants possessing a medical marijuana card will not be considered for safety sensitive positions.
