Job Summary: As directed by the Invasive Cardiologist and Invasive Cardiology Coordinator, provides direct patient care including diagnostic and/or therapeutic invasive procedures. May provide other support services, dictated by patient needs, as a care delivery team member. On call hours required for 24/7 after hour coverage for emergencies and urgent procedures with a 30-minute response time. Cross campus coverage is required after appropriate orientation and training at each site. Cross-training may be required for the Electrophysiology Lab, Peripheral Lab, and the Invasive Cardiology Staging and Recovery Area after proper orientation and training as directed by the Invasive Cardiology Coordinators and Director to meet department and patient needs.

Minimum Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Science or school of Radiation Technology, or have successfully obtained RCIS or RRT registries.
Demonstrates effective communication skills. Demonstrates initiative and is able to function independently as well as interdependently. Demonstrates the ability to initiate, accept, and adapt to change. Demonstrates time management and organizational skills. Accepts the differences among people. Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Radiology Technician (RRT) with Cardiovascular experience.
Preferred 2 years invasive cardiology or interventional radiology experience.
Professional certification in clinical practice specialty.

Licensure and Certifications: Current Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist certification or Registered Technologist (Radiology). New graduates of a CVT or RT program are required to obtain their specific registry (RCIS or R.T.(R)) within 6 months of hire. Must successfully complete Basic Cardiac Life Support within three months of hire and Advanced Cardiac Life Support within four months of hire.
