Job Description

Position Summary:
Warehousemen load trucks with finished product in shipping area, and perform receiving dutes/unloading of trucks in receiving.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Participates in the safety program and works to exceed all safety standards and requirements mandated by the plant and OSHA.
  2. Prepare items for shipment and load outgoing trucks with finished product.  Records shipment data such as weight, charges, space availability, etc. via the AS400 system.
  3. Receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming shipments of waste paper and other purchased items.  Examines contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices or orders to verify accuracy of shipments.  Utilizes IQE system.
  4. Moves incoming goods and supplies to appropriate storage areas.
  5. Utilizes yard tractor to move trailers, park/drop trailers, and back trailers into docks.
  6. Operates the yard tractor, clamp truck, forklift.
  7. Interacts with customer drivers.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: HS Graduate or equivalent.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Ability to use tools/equipment such as forklift, simple hand tools, scanner, clamp truck, yard tractor.  Computer knowledge of systems such as AS400, IQE system.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Heights, confined space, ability to lift 51 lbs and carry up to 25 lbs.
